Privacy Policy
Last updated September 18, 2026
The short version: Sensorly doesn't collect anything. There is no Sensorly account and no Sensorly server. Your credentials and sensor history stay on your Mac, and the app talks only to the sensor services you add.
What the app stores, and where
- Credentials. The API keys, tokens or logins you enter for each source are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. They are sent only to the service they belong to, over HTTPS (or to the Home Assistant address you enter), to fetch your readings.
- Sensor history. Readings are recorded in a local database on your Mac so the app can draw charts. You choose how long to keep it, and you can delete it at any time in Settings.
- Preferences and alert limits. Stored locally in the app's preferences.
None of this is transmitted to us. We have no way to see your credentials, your sensors or your readings.
Services the app connects to
Sensorly connects directly from your Mac to the services you configure: YoLink, Govee, Ambient Weather, Ecowitt, Tempest (WeatherFlow), SensorPush, and your own Home Assistant server. Those services receive your credentials and your Mac's IP address as part of normal API requests, and their own privacy policies apply to the data they hold about you.
Analytics, tracking and advertising
None. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting SDKs, no advertising and no third-party tracking code. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in macOS, Apple may share anonymised crash reports with us; that is controlled in System Settings.
This website
sensorly.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. It is served by Amazon CloudFront, which necessarily processes your IP address to deliver pages; we do not keep access logs.
Support email
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and delete it when the conversation is finished if you ask us to.
Children
Sensorly is a utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the app ever begins collecting data, it will ask first.
